Letter from the President
Dear Foundation Friends:
This past year marked the 45th year of the birth of what is now one of the largest and most prestigious merit-based foundations at any university in the nation. Throughout its 45 years, the Foundation has stayed true to its mission of identifying, attracting, and nurturing individuals who possess exceptional potential in leadership, scholarship, and citizenship.
Fundamental to the Foundation’s work is its belief that any organization’s strength depends on the caliber of its people. Equally important is the power of cross-disciplinary connections and collaborations. This publication offers insight into the Foundation's community, a community that unapologetically celebrates excellence.
The Scholars, Fellows, and Professors featured here are exceptionally talented, and they embrace the tenets of good citizenship in all that they do. Bringing together bright minds who are not selfishly ambitious but eager to work toward the common good produces powerful results that benefit the University in significant ways.
We remain mindful that the generosity of those who believe in the Foundation’s mission makes everything these extraordinary individuals do possible, and we remain deeply and forever grateful to those who support us.
Sincerely,

Jimmy Wright President
